What is the difference between Green base and Red base solutions?
The honest answer is nothing.
The idea behind the choosing a green based product is that on the colour wheel (see below)
GREEN is at the opposite end of the spectrum therefore it should counteract throwing orange tones.

The fact is that Dihydroxyacetone or more commonly known as DHA is a colourless product, the green or red bases are made from the colours that make up this instant colour guide Bronzer that you see when you first get a spray tan, these bronzers are all washed off when you have your first shower and have no bearing on the final colour of your spray tan at all.
Applying products that are green or red, or the latest one Violet based does not mean that you can spray on as many coats as you like and you will not send them Orange, there are 2 reasons for sending people orange with spray tans, the first is applying too much product for the clients skin type, the other is using products you use a low grade DHA.
We suggest that you apply single coat application on people you are spray tanning for the first time to ensure you will not have any over development.
